Did someone say staycation? If you are looking for a quick escape from the daily valley (Phoenix, Arizona) grind, Omni Tucson National Resort is the perfect destination. Did I mention, that this little gem is only a 2-hour drive from Phoenix, AZ? This stunning resort offers the perfect blend of activities and amenities to ensure you have a top-tier stay. Whether you are a golf enthusiast, foodie, or someone seeking relaxation…Omni Tucson National is the perfect staycation spot.
Distance from Phoenix
Getting to the Omni was the fastest road trip I’ve taken thus far. I reside in the far east side of the valley, so the drive was about 90 minutes. However, if you live more central in the valley you’d be looking at about a 2-hour or so drive (Roughly 115 miles). Omni is super accessible for Phoenicians looking for a quick weekend escape.
Here are the resort activities I enjoyed:
I was amazed by all of the activities/amenities that Omni Tucson National had to offer, it made the stay that much more exciting.
Check out the list of things I did during my 24-hour stay:
-Tequila tasting at the lobby bar
-Multiple Pools with cabana options (I hung out poolside-It rained on the main day of my stay)
-Aqua Fit classes (I observed-they were having a time)
-Massage at Spa Mokara
-Dining
- Light Bites at The Peak Bar/Lounge
- Dinner at Bob’s Steakhouse
- Brunch at Desert Farmer
- Additional dining options the resort offers: View here
-Golf- While I am not a golfer, Onmi is known for its amazing golf courses: The Catalina PGA Course-host to over 30 PGA Tour events, and The Sonoran Desert Course- designed by 2006 Ryder Cup Captian Tom Lehman. From spectacular views and tree-lined fairways to uphill/downhill shots Omni is a golf lovers paradise.
But Wait! There is still so much more the resort offers: Click here for the rundown
The Accommodations:
The Omni offers a variety of guest rooms and suites. Luckily, I had the pleasure of occupying their spacious 950 ft. one-bedroom Hacienda Suite that featured a separate living room with a fireplace, kitchenette, walk-in closet, private patio, and more.
Final Thoughts:
Omni Tucson National is a resort I will visit again. From the stellar customer service to the relaxing spa treatment, Omni must be on your wellness radar. This resort is the perfect distance for those looking to escape the daily grind up in the valley or even a perfect staycation for a Tucson local. Packed with tons of on-site amenities this resort closely resembles an all-inclusive property (RESORT IS NOT ALL-INCLUSIVE).
